“When living gets unburdened with needs and desires, the life becomes simple and easy to carry." ---Shashi
For a moment, imagine a simpler easier life. What does it feel like? What does it look like? What is removed? Where could you go?
For me, A Simple Life, means walking in my life each and every day aware of what is important and what is not! It is a shedding of sorts, a letting go of all those distractions, those "things" we believe we need in order to be happy which, let's be honest, end up only making our life heavier and simply do not support our purpose for being here. Simply put, it means valuing life moments and experiences, not stuff. I try each day to live a life true to who I am and in balance, harmony, and respect with the world around me!
This means I respect myself, my body, Mother Earth, and all living beings. It means my external world and my internal world are simple, authentic, organized, minimalist, eco-friendly, toxin-free (as much as possible!), peaceful, serene, joyous, and beautiful! Most important, it means maintaining my balance as a soul and living an authentic life, honoring my purpose for being here and following my true path! I believe these are basics for everyone seeking to slow down, scale back, love their life and and pursue living A Simple Life!
The good news is that A Simple Life is possible for everyone and with the crazy hectic rat-race world we are seeing, and perhaps participating in, I dare say,now more than ever,it is a necessity.
Since so much in this world feels complicated and we really don't need anything else on our to do list, I worked to make the process of simplifying a bit easier and hopefully more fun with my website and Working Book! I broke the process down into four basic areas and created worksheets with resources and stories for you to begin your process of simplifying. You can see two of those areas are a part of your outer world and two are a part of your internal world. Simple!
A Simple Life really is about cutting out the superfluous and rediscovering basics that work, then actively applying those simple living principles to all areas of life: listening to and respecting our inner voice, taking time to pursue a life filled with everything that is important to the human soul and be brave enough to eliminate what is NOT!
